Current Changes to NTA Statues and Regulations
The NTA wants to
ensure that the public and our regulated community is made aware to any changes
in the statutes and regulations that effect the NTA, the regulated community
and the public. New regulations were passed in December of 2024 and it has come
to our attention that they have not been codified in the NAC as of yet. Please
be aware, that although these regulations have not been placed into the NAC and
you do not see them reflected in the NAC, they are in effect. We are providing
a link so that you may have access to these new regulations. Thank you
Taxicab, Tow Car, Warehouse Decal Renewal FY2026
All Taxicab, Tow Car and Warehouse carriers certificated by the
Nevada Transportation Authority (NTA) must pay an annual fee for each vehicle
or warehouse in operation that falls under the definition of “tow car",
"taxi cab", or "warehouse” pursuant to Nevada Administrative
Code (NAC). Current “25” decals will expire at midnight December 31,
2025. The annual fee for the “26” decal or permit is due in either of our
office locations no later than 5:00 p.m., Friday, January 2, 2026. Please
review the attached instructions and submit the desired renewal request to nta@nta.nv.gov (preferred
method), faxed to (702) 486-2590 or mailed/hand-delivered to either address
listed on the document below.
Driver Permit Application form has been updated.
The Driver Permit Application and Driver Permit Revised Application have been updated. New versions of both forms have been mailed to all effected passenger transportation carriers and are effective immediately. Please see the letter and associated forms below. Authorized persons of the certificate carrier may request updated electronic versions of the driver permit applications by emailing NTA@NTA.NV.GOV.
